Cindy Butts
Chief Executive Officer
As the chief executive officer of Connecticut Association of REALTORS®, Cindy is responsible for overseeing the development and successful implementation of all CTR's programs and services. She is the primary contact for Federal issues, NAR liaison and New England Regional Committee issues.

Advocacy and Professional Programs

Abby Krist
Manager of Political and Professional Programs
Abby oversees CTR's real estate school as well as the RPAC fundraising program and Association advocacy efforts including maintaining the Political Contact Network, increasing the Broker Involvement Program and enhancing Calls for Action responses. She is the staff contact for the RPAC Trustees, Grassroots and Political Fundraising Committees. Abby is the contact person for CTR staff attendance requests at local association/board trade shows and other events.

Holly Reed
RPAC/Government Programs Coordinator
Holly assists with CTR political fundraising and political education programs. She assists the Manager of Political and Professional Programs by administrative supporting various political committees. She also writes political fundraising updates and responds to requests from Local Associations on political fundraising activities.


Lisa G. Governale
Vice President of Communications
Lisa is responsible for directing CTR's internal and external communications. She oversees CTR’s broadcast email, Good Neighbor Awards, REALTOR® E-news, website and social media presence. Lisa manages all media relations and public relations and is staff contact for the Communications Committee. Lisa directs the work of CTR's Graphic Designer & Communications Specialist and Public Relations & Communications Coordinator. Lisa is responsible for the Issues Advocacy committee, the REALTORS® at the Capitol and REALTOR® of the Year programs.

David Pendrys
Public Relations & Communications Coordinator
David provides administrative support to the VP of Communications. He compiles and distributes CTR’s newsletter, handles press inquiries, organizes REALTORS® at the Capitol, maintains member access to the CTR website, and coordinates social media. He also provides administrative support to the Communications Committee.

Meredith Olints
Graphic Designer & Communications Specialist
Meredith is responsible for the design and development of a variety of promotional materials for Association programs/events and assists with web development and maintenance of the CTR website.  She also produces the Association’s video communications and is the staff photographer. She works with the Vice President of Communications, to develop strategies and enhance communication, services, public relations and issues advocacy efforts.

Executive and Member Services

Beth A. Mecteau
Director of Executive and Foundation Programs
Beth is responsible for organizational governance including the annual calendar, Executive Department budget and serves as staff liaison to governance-related committees such as Nominating, NAR Director Selection, Strategic Planning, Past Presidents Advisory, BOD Appeals and Association Executives.  She plans and implements training, programs, services, special functions and events of the Executive Department such as broker-owner meetings, leadership identification/training and Board President/President-elect meetings.  She also manages CTR’s member benefits program as well as New England REALTORS® Committee functions on the state level.  Beth serves as the Director for the CAR Foundation including overall management of the Gates Scholarship program and Foundation fundraising activities.

Alison Hudak
Executive Programs Planner
Alison coordinates a variety of CTR’s Executive Department programs, meetings and events including Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Association Executives Committee, CT Night Out, the annual CTR Leadership Conference as well as NAR and New England REALTORS® Committee related projects/programs.  She also provides support to the elected leadership team and reports to CTR’s Chief Executive Officer.

Government Affairs/Legal

James Heckman
General Counsel and Government Affairs Director
As CTR's chief lobbyist, Jim represents REALTOR® interests before the General Assembly and State agencies. He is the chief staff contact for legislative and political issues and his efforts include promoting a high level of membership involvement in the political process.

Kristen Haseney, Esq.
Associate Counsel
Kristen is responsible for responding to general real estate questions on the legal hotline, writing legal alerts and legal updates, and assisting Attorney Heckman on other legal matters related to the Association and industry.



Gina Ballard
Director of Operations
Gina is responsible for maintaining the financial records for CTR, RPAC and the Foundation and is the staff contact for the Finance Committee and Foundation Trustees. She oversees the Association’s IT infrastructure and directs the work of the Membership and Technology Administrator.  She performs the human resources function for the Association, including payroll, record-keeping and benefits administration. Gina coordinates requests to and from building management, and researches options to upgrade facilities and vendor services. 

Kerri Lopa
Membership and Technology Administrator
Kerri maintains membership records for CTR. She works with all Local Boards and NAR regarding membership data on the National REALTOR® Database System (NRDS). Kerri generates dues billings for a few Local Boards. Kerri assists the Director of Operations with all technology issues and accounting-related projects.  Kerri also works directly with CTR's systems consultants, offers on-site technology assistance to CTR staff, orders supplies, maintains office equipment, and researches options to replace and/or upgrade that equipment.
